2015 Book Review

So I thought before the end of the year I’d just look back at all the books I’ve read so far since last Christmas and I was rather chuffed that I’ve got through 31 books this year, that’s a lot for me and it’s been so nice getting back in to reading as a relaxing and enjoyable pastime.

Turning off the television and getting absorbed into a good story is magical, being transported in to a different world that stimulates your imagination is far more satisfying than being plonked in front of something on the tv that 9 times out of 10 you’re watching because there is nothing else on. There is also a great sense of satisfaction in reading a book that no programme can offer you.

Here are all the books I’ve read so far this year ( there’s still a week left to go!) and in the order I read them:

My top 3 without a doubt are the M J Arlidge series of Pop Goes The Weasel, The Dolls House and Liar Liar. These were preceded with Eeny Meeny. I never thought I’d like crime thrillers but these books about DI Helen Grace are superb stories  that keep you gripped from early on and are near impossible to put down.

I’ve got plenty more books lined up to read so hopefully l’ll continue in the same vein and attempt not to buy too many more until I’ve caught up on the ones I already have on the to read list.

Heres to another great year of reading! X
